"IST METZ GmbH & Co. KG is an internationally active medium-sized mechanical engineering company based in NĂ¼rtingen in Southern Germany with around 550 employees worldwide. For more than 45 years the company has been producing UV and LED systems for curing inks, lacquers, adhesives and silicones, which are used in different working widths for 2D and 3D applications. The product portfolio is complemented by hot-air infrared products and Excimer technology for matting, cleaning and surface modification. The UV systems are used in industrial applications in the fields of electronics, display, wood, medicine, automotive, cosmetics, metal, floor coverings and energy storage.
A new UV Technology Campus has been built at our headquarters in NĂ¼rtingen. The centrepiece is a state-of-the-art research laboratory which, in addition to internal test series, is also available to customers and partners for individual tests. The campus combines application, process and product evaluation in one place.
IST METZ's laboratory and test units are used for process development directly at the customer's premises in the laboratory and in production. IST METZ can support these developments with ray tracing simulations, with which the UV efficiency, the homogeneity of the radiation and the distance characteristics are calculated and optimised.
