Description:

This short course covers the key fundamentals of head-worn displays for mixed-reality (MR) applications, from human visual systems to display performance metrics, from optical design considerations to human factors. Besides the fundamentals, the instructor provides a review on the historical development of MR displays, and the various optical technologies for the development of lightweight AR displays, review recent technological advancements, and a discussion of open challenges.
