Holographic Near-Eye Display with Steerable Exit-Pupil Array Based on Bi-Stacked Quarter-Wave-Conditioned Geometric Phase Prism Module

Description:

This paper presents an innovative exit-pupil steering system for eyebox expansion in holographic near-eye display by integrating bi-stacked quarter-waveplate (QWP) geometric phase (GP) prism beam steering modules. The proposed method enables nine selective exit-pupil steering effects with active polarization switching, effectively expanding eyebox without sacrificing the field of view and form-factor.
