Research into Improving the Backlight Leakage Behind the Screen's Punch Hole Area

Description:

This research focuses on the light leakage on the back of the AA hole area of OLED screens, which may cause the glare problem of the front - camera of the whole device. Through horizontal comparison among different screen models, strongly correlated influencing factors are screened out, and then a single - film - layer longitudinal control experiment is carried out, using different raw material simulations and actual measurement comparisons. The results show that different polarizer models have a great influence, and increasing the AA hole border, reducing the refractive index of the color filter (CG), and turning off the pixels around the hole area can all reduce light leakage. In summary, this research shows that the AA hole border, polarizer selection, and the refractive index of CG all affect the light leakage on the back of the AA hole area, which provides an optimized path for the subsequent design of the AA hole area of OLED screens.
