Direct X-Ray Detecting Gap-Type Thin-Film Transistors for Ultra-High Spatial Resolution Flat-Panel Image Receptors

We propose using Gap-type TFTs for direct X-ray detection in ultra-high spatial resolution receptors, suitable even for flexible CT applications. Fabrication and measurements reveal an X-ray photocurrent of approximately 10 nA. Preliminary pixel estimations for direct-readout and passive pixel sensors demonstrate the potential of Gap-type TFTs as exceptional candidates for ultra-high resolution X-ray detection systems.
