Impact of Light-Diffusion Film on the Sparkle of OLED Display
Description:
The anti-glare treatment that tablets and laptops apply to the cover glass on the screen surface might result in uneven light and dark patches on the display screen. These irregularities were referred to as sparkles. This study examines the variations in surface morphology following three distinct AG treatment procedures: frosting etching, photolithography, and abrasive blasting, as well as their benefits and drawbacks. It has been demonstrated that placing a layer of light diffusion film with a periodic grating structure between the AG cover glass and the Pol may effectively increase the sparkle in an OLED display. Moreover, the theoretical model of the optimal matching design scheme between the OLED module stack and the light diffusion film structure is established, and the difference in sparkle improvement effect of the light diffusion film with different structure design and the difference in sparkle of the AG cover glass with different haze and roughness is further analyzed.
