Enhancing VRR Flicker Index Using TIme-Domain Analysis

Description:

This research purposes a flicker prediction model for VRR displays. First, we defined the situation that VRR flicker appears through measuring the waveforms in two actual VRR displays. Next, we identified the two factors affecting the perception of VRR flicker and we conducted the psychophysics experiment. Finally, we introduce time-domain analysis using Impulse Response Function (IRF) to capture aperiodic luminance fluctuations and predict the perception of VRR flicker.
