Perceptual Color Attributes-Correlated 2D Color Gamut Volume Representation and Its Analysis

Description:

A 2D color gamut volume representation is proposed for high dynamic range displays, providing an intuitive way to visualize and compare their color performance. The correlation between this representation and perceptual color attributes is strong. Although existing color volume metrics can approximate the reproducible color range, they lack clarity in displaying and comparing display characteristics. By utilizing the new 2D representation, users can easily comprehend and evaluate color features like 'Vividness' and 'Depth'.
