Toward a Virtual-Reality Diagnostic Suite for Cerebral Visual Impairment

Description:

This paper reports recent progress of a novel system intended to diagnose Cerebral Visual Impairments, a condition where the brain is unable to correctly process visual information. Designed for Virtual Reality, it hosts tests with the capability to diagnose several Cerebral Visual Impairments. Initial implementations measure visual acuity, visual fields, visual inattention/neglect, and contrast sensitivity. This project is ongoing, with future efforts focussing on validation and refinement.
