Fast-Switchable Polarization-Dependent Bifocal Lenses for AR Displays
Distinguished Student
Description:
Polarization-dependent bifocal PB phase lenses integrate bifocal functions into a single device. Designed in longitudinal and transverse configurations, they address key AR challenges by resolving the vergence-accommodation conflict and enlarging the FOV. The system includes an ESHFLC polarization rotator for fast switching between dual depths or FOVs, providing a compact and efficient solution for true 3D multi-plane displays and extended FOV in next-generation AR systems.
