MicroLED in Series on a Single Chip for Display Performance Enhancement

Description:

in the competition between OLED and microLED for direct view displays, the former has significantly improved the display performance by using Tandem OLED (TO) with TFT backplanes. MicroLED technology has to offer the same solution to the display manufacturers. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate that the nanowires technology of Aledia can provide ultra small chips with several LEDs in series at no cost in single LED efficiency.
