Polarization Efficiency Optimization of Freeform Liquid-Crystal Polarization Imaging Optics
Student
Description:
Freeform Liquid-Crystal Imaging Optics (LPIOs) have attracted significant interest in near-eye displays, yet existing coupled wave theory fails to predict emitted light polarization for efficiency simulation. This study introduces an improved 4×4 method@@@ enabling practical polarization efficiency control in optical systems utilizing freeform LPIOs. Validated within an augmented reality display system, the method boosts system efficiency from 59.61% to 88.29% while greatly enhancing field uniformity.
