Pupil-aware Holographic Display with Continuous Eyebox Expansion under Multi-Angle Illumination

Description:

Holography offers 3D depth perception but struggles to balance field of view (FOV) and eyebox size. This study proposes multi-angle illumination and the Pupil-HOGD-MI algorithm, incorporating higher-order diffraction and pupil-aware optimization, to expand the eyebox and miniaturize displays. A dual-angle holographic display prototype demonstrates horizontal continuous eyebox expansion with high image quality.
