Shenping Li received the Ph.D. degree in physics from Autonomous University of Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, in 1995. From 1996 to 1999, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Department of Electronics Engineering, Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he worked on fiber lasers and semiconductor lasers, generation of ultrashort pulses, fiber gratings, and applications of fiber nonlinearities in optical communications. From 1999 to 2001, he continued his research work at the Optoelectronics Research Center of the City University of Hong Kong, first as a Scientific Office and then a Senior Research Fellow. In 2001, he jointed Corning Incorporated, Corning, NY, as a Staff Scientist. His current research interests include waveguide interconnections, fiber sensors, laser processing, LCD and Micro-LED displays, and AR/VR. He has published more than 80 papers, and holds more than 30 U.S. patents.
