Gang Xu joined OIS in Michigan as a display optical engineer in 1992 after graduate study in Liquid Crystal Physics from Kent States University. He has worked in various display R&D topics, from optical design, LCD manufacturing, display module integration and feasibility studies of new display technologies, for different companies in US and China, from startups to Apple, Qualcomm, Tianma, HP, and Huawei. Currently he is the EVP for Jingce USA, a provider of display testing systems and inspection equipment, with R&D focus on display testing methodology and application of machine learning and AI algorithm in display AOI, gamma tuning and demura.
