Wei Xu, Ph.D, Research Scientist at TCL AI Lab. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees both from Sun Yat-sen University, and his Ph.D. degree from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). After postdoctoral training at HKUST, he joined TCL AI Lab as a Research Scientist in 2021. He was a Visiting Scholar at Peking University and a Guest Scientist at Technische Universität Ilmenau. He has been actively involved in applied mathematics and mechanics research, specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI), numerical simulation, and complex system modeling. His current research focuses on combining AI techniques and multiscale simulations to tackle key challenges in the discovery of novel display materials.
