Yung-Yu Hsu, Ph.D., is Senior Research Manager of Display Integration, Optics & Display Research, Reality Labs, Meta Platforms Inc.
He joined Meta in 2021 and is curently leading the display research for both AR and VR products. Prior Meta, Yung-Yu worked for Apple at Cupertino since 2014 and is Engineering Manager for Display Investigation. Yung-Yu has extensive and diverse background ranging from semiconductor electronic packaging while he was working with ITRI (Taiwan) and imec (Belgium), medical device while he was with MC10 inc. (Boston), to the current role in display (California). Yung-Yu has Ph.D. in Materials Engineering from Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KULeuven), Belgium.
