Program Manager
CEA-LETI
Grenoble, France
François Templier is Display Program Manager at CEA-LETI, France. He earned the Master’s Degree in Physics and Ph. D. degree in microelectronics from the University Grenoble Alpes. From 1993 to 1999, he was with Thomson LCD (now Thales Avionics LCD) where he developed new a-Si TFT processes for active-matrix liquid crystal displays. Since 1999, he has been with CEA-LETI, Minatec Campus in Grenoble, France, where his research activity is focused on advanced displays, more particularly emissive devices such as GaN microLED displays.
Dr. Templier has over 130 publications related to display science and technology in refereed journals or refereed proceedings such as SID (Display Week, IDRC, IDW, ICDT) and SPIE.
He is also the holder of 42 US and French patents on display technology.
In 2020, Dr Templier was awarded Fellow of the Society for Information Display (SID), for “his many contributions to the science and technology of thin-film transistors, flexible displays, OLED microdisplays, and GaN micro-LED displays."
He is also currently Chair of SID’s French Chapter, and, since 2021, Director of IRT Nanoelec’s Displed Program
