Zong Qin received his bachelor’s degree in 2008 and a PhD in 2013 from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. He then worked as a post-doctoral and assistant research fellow at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (Taiwan) through 2019. After that, he joined Sun Yat-Sen University, China, as an associate professor. Qin studies display optics and algorithms for near-eye, glass-free 3D, and vehicular displays. He has published over 30 SCI-indexed papers as the first or corresponding author. Qin has received four distinguished (student) paper awards as principal contributor from SID’s Display Week and has given over 30 invited talks at SID, IDW, ICDT, IMID, etc. He is a technical committee member of SID, SID China, SPIE Photonics West, and an associate editor of JSID. He was named an Annual Outstanding Young Talent by SID China, Best Associate Editor by JSID, and Outstanding Reviewer by OPTICA.
