Myunghee Lee is the founder and CEO of Sapien Semiconductors and a seasoned veteran in the semiconductor industry with over 30 years of experience spanning academia and industry. Prior to founding Sapien, Lee served as a professor in the department of electrical and computer engineering at UNIST (Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology) in Korea from 2013 to 2019. His industry career includes leadership roles such as senior vice president at Hyundai-Autron, part of Hyundai Motor Group (2012–2013); vice president at Samsung System LSI Division (2005–2012), where he led the display driver IC (DDI) development team; and integration manager at Agilent Technologies (1996–2005), managing global R&D efforts for the fiber optic product division. Lee holds a BS in electronic engineering from Hanyang University, an MS in electrical engineering from Arizona State University, and a PhD in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
