Minchen Tommy Wei is a professor at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from Fudan University (China) and MSc and PhD degrees from Pennsylvania State University (US). In 2015, he joined Hong Kong Polytechnic University as an assistant professor. He was promoted to associate professor and full professor in 2020 and 2023 respectively. His research mainly focuses on color and imaging science, and he has collaborated with various industry partners in developing solutions for various products. He has received a Google Research Scholar Award, SID Distinguished Paper designation, and a Hong Kong Engineering Science and Technology Award.
