Guillaume Gélinas is technical sales and business development manager at Vital Materials. He received his Ph.D. degree in physics in 2016 at Université de Montréal on molecular beam epitaxy growth and characterization of III-V semiconductors. To stay at the core of the semiconductor market, he then learned metallurgy and the upstream business of metals feeding this market in an industrial environment. Starting from R&D and moving to a technical sales position, he got involved in the solar, thermoelectric, radiation detectors, photonics, recycling markets. He got involved in low purity feed materials, ultra pure metals and compounds, single crystals, epitaxy, thin films, components and finished products. His international experience also gives him good insights on the supply chain and geopolitics surrounding it.
