Toru Sakai has been working with diverse TFT technologies and related applications for nearly 5 decades.
Prior to joining Touch Biometrix in 2020, he worked at Amazon – Liquavista in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, where his duties included R, D, E and Industrialization of various technologies, such as
(1) TFT backplane development for reflective devices,
(2) Color Filter development for reflective devices,
(3) Panel making process development, etc.
He is currently working as a Principal Engineer at Touch Biometrix with responsibilities acting as a boundary span between innovation and industrialization of Touch Biometrix technology in both internal and external organizations.
His business track records related to large area electronics (LAE) businesses include such as
(1) Installation of display mass-manufacturing line with various generation glass formats,
(2) Industrialization of various LAE technologies,
(3) Technology transfer (including multi-national disciplines),
(4) Technology integration (including multi-national disciplines)
Toru Sakai received the MSc degree in Physical-Electronics Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology.
