Dr. Scott Lin is a senior engineer for Empyrean technology Inc. He received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. From 2001 to 2002, he was a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON, Canada. In 2002, he joined Legend Design Technology Inc. as a senior engineer and, since 2007, he has been a manager of the device modeling department at the same company. In 2018, he joined Empyrean Technology Inc. as a director of modeling department and, since 2025, he transitioned into a customer support role to align more closely with his passion for building customer-centric solutions. His work centers on developing compact models for CMOS VLSI circuits and flat-panel display (FPD) devices, contributing to improved simulation accuracy and device performance analysis. He has published over 10 technical papers including 6 IEEE journal papers.
