Dr. Yoon leads a focused innovation program aimed at improving the attributes of glass for next-generation advanced packaging solutions at Corning Incorporated. Since joining Corning, Dr. Yoon has been integral to several Through-Glass-Vias (TGV) projects by driving greater collaboration between Corning’s technology platforms in metrology and laser cutting with the key industry partners. In 2018, Dr. Yoon transitioned to Corning’s business unit dedicated to semiconductor applications, where he explored new opportunities in TGV technology and applications. He holds several U.S. and international patents in glass microfabrication and structuring. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science from The Ohio State University in 2012.
