Advancing Near-Eye Light-Field Displays Using Meta-Optics

Description:

Near-eye light field displays encounter a limited depth of field (DOF) and narrow FOV due to the low light modulation abilities of the traditional microlens array. This study introduces meta-optics and designs specific phase responses to different polarizations and incident angles. A DOF covering over six diopters and a FOV larger than 40 degrees were experimentally verified.
