Jian-Wen Dong is a professor in School of Physics at Sun Yat-sen University, who is a major member of State Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Materials and Technologies in nanophotonics. He has focused on the research about micro-nano optical/electromagnetics field manipulation of fundamental physics and device applications, and put forward the topics about micro-nano topological photonics integrated devices and metalens imaging technology, aiming at the applications in light-field 3D display, microendoscopic imaging, VR/AR, photonic integrated circuit (PIC) , etc. He has published > 120 academic papers, including 4 Nature series journals such as Nature Materials, 6 Physical Review Letters, 4 Light: Sciences & Applications, and 5 Laser & Photonics Reviews. He has also published 7 review papers including 30-page long review in LPR, with the citations over 2600 totally and 24 h-factor. Among the research works, there are 7 papers selected as ESI highly cited papers, one of which has been selected as “Top Ten Progress of Optics in China in 2017 – basic research”. He works as a vice president of national optical youth academic forum of the Chinese optical society, chairman of topological physics and devices in Chinese physics Fall meeting, and council member of the Chinese optical society, Chinese society of optical engineering and metamaterials branch of Chinese materials research institute, and member of Chinese laser magazine youth editorial board, Laser Technology editorial board, PhotoniX editorial board, etc.
