Dr. Mikael Björk, is the CEO of Hexagem AB since March 2020. Prior to Hexagem he held positions such as research staff member at IBM and then CTO/director for various start-ups including SolVoltaics and CrayoNano. Mikael holds a PhD in Semiconductor Physics and a MSc in Business Administration. He has more than 20 years of experience in research and development in nanotechnology and material sciences. Expertise includes selective area epitaxy of materials in the As/P and III-Nitride systems, doping in nanosystems, as well as process development and characterization of nanomaterials within several application areas such as CMOS, biomedicine, photovoltaics, UVLEDs, and power electronics. He has further managed several projects in surface chemistry, self-assembly of 3D semiconductor materials, and design and testing of epitaxial equipment for III-Vs.
